Big fan here!  I've been collecting coins since I was 12 years old.  I focus on Colonial Coins now.  There are so many ways to love coins - from bullion to using them as a unique and powerful tool to learn history with.  Any other coin collectors around here?

I am... I really like the history aspect. Plus there is nothing like holding something that has seen the history.

I collect silver quarters and silver eagles.

I enjoy coin collecting...when I have extra $$$ of course.

Ebay makes it very easy to look at coins for sale all day and the Coin Vault seems to always be on TV. Love those guys also. They make watching coins for sale seem like an exciting heavyweight fight.

Cool beans, EBS.  Be VERY careful of the Coin Vault - they are notorious for overpriced hyping.  Here is a link to a well-known coin forum I am a Member at.  Do a search for "coin vault" in their extremely popular "US Coin" Forum.  Read some of this (there's an unbelievable amount of information on coins there):

Click HERE, then type "coin vault" in the empty Search field, then hit Search :)

I'm an avid coin collector, too. I'm currently collecting a British Victorian Type Set, U.S. Type Set, British Conder Tokens, Canadian Type Set, Australian Type Set, U.S. Large Cents - the middle dates for now, and U.S. Half Cents by date.

I'm a coin collector myself.  I like almost any U.S. coin that does not have dead president on it.

Here's my current favorite:

I collect coins too. My speciality is insulting dealers, grading coins from online pictures and attributing fingerprints on other on-line message boards. For anonymousity I use a different screen name here.

Hello

i am allso a collector of US coins. my goal is to collect every thing from up to date back to 100 year past my birthday, now this may seem easey but try doing this in uncirculated coins only, LOL  make it veryinteresting. so far i have all the proofs back to 1955 and mint coins to 1962 , but my lincoln set is complete back to 1933  with all the small and large dates. still need the 36,37,38,39 proofs, LOl  but they will come, LOL

I just startred collecting a few months ago. My wife and I were left a small box of Coins and a few Notes, but I just put it away because the loss was a tough thing to deal with and we didn't care to go through them, that was 2 years ago. I forgot all about them till I was in that area of the house and I happen to come across the box and opened it to see what was exactly in there. There was a small combo of Ikes, Kennedys, Buffalo Nickels,

Walking Liberties some Merc Dimes and a bunch of Wheaties and a few other coins.

Well anyway that is where I got started and I have enjoyed thrill of coming across an ocassional new coin or maybe even one day finding a very unique coin.

Nice to meet you all, have a great day.

Tom
