So I was tackling the unpleasant job of cleaning out my snakes tank.  It hadn't been done in a little too long because I didn't have anyone to hang on to him while I cleaned it.  And since I vacuum up all the old bedding, I didn't want to leave him in there and give him a heart attack.  Then it occurred to me.....I have his old tank sitting here.  We got him a much bigger one a few months ago and the little one was sitting here empty.  Now it will be much easier to clean his tank more frequently, and better yet, when he is fasting again, I have a place to keep the damn mice.  I got a bit tired of feediing his food and having them slop up Fuzzy's tank.  Now I feel like I have even more pets.  Damn mice.  Sometimes it is even more fun than normal watching him strike, coil up and then swallow the little bastards whole!

I think animals are cool.  But I am still not sure I could deal with a snake.  The creepy factor would overwhelm me.

I used to want a monkey though.

my sister had a pet boa constrictor in high school...i often had the pleasure (...um...that's not quite the right word):eew:  of feeding him when she was gone.   I can't say i enjoyed it, but i did find him fascinating to watch.

she took him with her to college that first year, and said she used to get such a kick out of the Jehovah's Witnesses that would come to the door, she would carry the snake around her shoulders and they would see it and hold up their crucifixes or do the sign of the cross as they ran away screaming she was the devil. ::rotfl::
