Thanks.  Yes, that is a pine cone.  She loves having things to chew.  Interesting thing about these critters, their teeth are constantly growing, and they always have to have wood blocks or other things to chew on available to them.  Helps keep their teeth worn down so they do not over grow.

Marie from one chinny owner to another she is just darling!! I had some amazing pics of stitch for you to see, and a small clip of her normal behaviour as it worries me ever so slightly, but i lost them due to a Trojan eating right thru my hardrive and i had to wipe clean.

Most important, if you are unable to get storebought, is that is it intreated..meaning never having been sprayed with insectisides.

I get this from PetCo.{http://www.petco.com} I buy it right from the store, maybe a petshop over in UK has something similar?  Look in the area of little critter treats.  The ones I buy are split in half lengthwise, which Trixie seems to prefer as she can handle them better. What I like is that they cut small branches from trees grown especially for this purpose, so the branches replenish themselves.

    I like chinchillas, just haven't got the space at the moment.

    We've got 4 female russian dwarf hamsters in their own rotostack, 7 male russian dwarves in their own double extended rotostack, 3 syrians,2 male, one female in their own cages, 3 male chinese hamsters in their own cage and one chinese female in her own cage.

    Our first attempt at introducing one of the chinese males to the female resulted in the most pathetic hand slapping "fight" I have ever seen.
