Pictures like these make me very nervous for the hamster.

I also warn you about that cage you have. It's a death trap for dwarf hamsters and way too small for the big ones they claim it's made for too.

That lid at the top, it tends to come crashing down easily on the slightest vibrations. I had it happen to me and hit one of my little ones in the head and knocked her out unconscious. I thought she was dead but she wasn't. Freaked me out. I wrote to the company and got a too bad you should be more careful attitude from them!

The lid needs to open from any other side but the one it's on. Where it is it cannot open fully due to that disgusting wheel (that every hamster likes to use as a house instead of a wheel.

There are many other dangers in these cages as well where small creatures get stuck and cannot free themselves. Actually anything from this company is pretty dangerous. I've told them so many times and there have been many reported tragedies only to be ignored for the almighty dollar sale of the colorful cage.

The stairway is the only good thing and I've used them to make my own cages and stairways.

You can easily make a cage out of a storage bin for any sized hamster and it's roomier, easier to clean and although not as aesthetically appealing, much safer.
