Mine rides in the back of mine, but with a camper shell and a comfy carpet kit...

I saw so many doing this when I was in Idaho last fall, it really made
me sick.

I often see dogs trying to stay up on the back of a flatbed truck. We have ranchers in our area and often they have dogs (heller breed mostly) and you see these poor dogs trying to not lose their footing going around corners on these flat wooden decks. I'm sure that every once in awhile one would slip and fall off the bed of the truck.

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."

Matthew 24:4

Some states have this as illegal to do. I know it is where I live and I'm pretty sure in NY as well.

If you cannot properly contain your dog, do not take it with you. PERIOD. I don't care if you are out in the boonies and have no way of transporting your dog any other way. You get a crate and fasten it securely to the truck bed and put the dog in there. Cover it to protect the dog.

This should be illegal in all states and punishable by a hefty fine. It is illegal to transport humans due to safety reasons this way so why on earth is is not illegal to transport animals this way?

Not only the safety of the animal is in jeapordy, but if it tumbles or jumps out, imagine the road accidents and how many cars it can involve just to avoid the dog?!

I would suggest taking the plate # down of any jerk who does this and report him.
