My mom sent me this Fresh Step litter ad. The caption below the pic says 'It's hard to find your litter box if you can't find it.' I got a chuckle out of it. ;)

How many of you buy silica gel litter?  That's what my cats use.  It's easier to deal with, less messy, doesn't reek, and is fairly cheap as well.

I use the littermaid automatic box. I use the natural based clumping litters in it.

two brands: The Worlds Best Cat Litter - made out of corn.

Swheat Scoop - made from wheat husks.

Both are excellent! They both clump HARD! NO smell and this I can prove as I just moved the cat box out of the basement to the room I keep my pc in! Virturally NO SMELL!

This is also proven because the littermaid will not start scooping until about 15 mins after the cat is out of the box.

Plus this stuff is practically track-less! I don't have 3/4 the amount of litter out of the box!

I was so, so skeptical of this stuff but my mom boasted about this to the point that if I didn't buy a small bag and try it out, I'll have to kill her just to shut her up! LOL

But honestly, this stuff actually lasts LONGER too! I'm not using nearly as much as the clumping litters.

I cannot say enough good things about this kind of litter. And I am not an easy person to please!

FYI, I keep 5 cats. So this is good for multi cat homes too!

And now my only problem is the dogs. Filthy beasts think 'corn turds' are all the rage! So now the baby gate has been brought out to block this room off when I can't supervise.

I use Fresh Step with their "odor eliminating carbon" which btw is a load of crap, pun intended. I'll have to look into those different kinds of litter.

Stay away from the Swheat Scoop!

Just got done with a full fledged try out of that stuff.....CRAP-OLA!

Stick with the corn based World's Best Cat Litter!
