Thank you for your kind words. He is much better today and he seems almost back to normal. He's on a diet of cooked organic turkey and beef and is eating again. I will NEVER feed either of our cats canned or pouched food again. We nearly lost him to IBD last September and spent $4000 on vet bills that we really didn't have, and now this.

Our other cat eats (not any more) a different variety of Nutro. He has been OK.

I hope the damage is limited and that most people got the word about the problem. I also hope if there was negligence or greed involved that the companies get hauled into court.

Please don't condemn the products on the headlines alone!

It's specific 'flavors' or varieties of foods not every single food made by the manufacturers.

I have constantly updated this until today and there are more links and information on my site.

Feel free to go there and have a look.

FYI = all animal food is made from waste products of animals. Dogs and cats actually prefer 'guts' and organ meat over the muscle and bone and skin. It's usually the 'fillers' that give our pets problems, like cereals.

Wheat is a big problem as it can 'ferment' in the gut causing gas. Just like humans.

Dog food uses more fillers than cat foods. Cats thrive on the higher fat content but if the manufacturers actually made the right foods for our pets, 99.9999% of the humans who own them would over feed the animal thinking they are not getting enough to eat as they would only need very little to thrive in comparison to the junk they eat now.

Please check the text, not just the headlines.

Oh and all the crap you read about Iams food..... you got that from PeTA. How about looking into their lies and criminal activity? Don't believe everything you read when it seems overly horriffic. Sometimes people tend to exaggerate to get thier agenda across.
