Did anyone watch the De La Hoya / Mayweather Fight the other night? I thought it was a close battle, neither of them really seemed to break a sweat!

Mayweather won on split decision.

It was a crap fight, I'm so glad I didn't order it on pay per view. It was almost like a teaser trailer for the inevitable rematch.

I've never rated De La Hoya though, golden boy my arse.

I would have to disagree. It was a pretty good fight. De La Hoya was very aggressive th ewhole fight, but mayweather was just quicker and showed his defensive skill.

That said, it needed to be more brutal!!

Are you merely justifiying the fact you paid to see the fight ?

I have been following boxing for 25 years, it WAS a very poor fight. I have seen more agression in my daughters school playground.

I saw the whole fight for free less than a few days after the PPV, it was

Nope, I didn't pay. I have seen a lot of fights worse than that, and I too have been following boxing for a long time.

I enjoyed it, both of those boxers have a high level of skill. Mayweather played a defensive battle, so it did lack brawling.

I just think De La Hoya is vastly overrated.

Mayweather is a far more complete and balanced and more talented fighter in my opinion.

Fights like that one just turn more people on to UFC.

Two talented fighters so afraid of losing they just cover up and emerge without a scratch ?

Those kind of fights are killing the sport.
