I am really saddened by the news that Chris Benoit is no longer with us, he was probably the best technical wrestler I have ever seen live and in person and "seemed" to be a nice person. Taking any disrespect he perceived out on his wife and son in such a terrible fashion is unforgivable though regardless of what his wife may have said or done. I actually hope it was "roid rage". Killing your family over being disrespected is pathetic, regardless of what kind of stature he had in the wrestling world.

Before everyone jumps to conclusions, there really is a connection from certain drugs to behavior. I remember once in high school a buddy of mine stole some of his mom's valium and we went out to the hills and took them and started drinking beer. Without warning we both started kicking the crap out of each other. As we lay on the ground a little while later breathing hard and licking our wounds, we both said, "What the hell happened there?!!" We couldn't remember why we started fighting. Years later, I saw that valium combined with alcohol can cause immediate violent reactions. Something like that undoubtedly happened here.

and yet more horror....it is being reported that the little boy was mentally retarded, and that the couple had been arguing over his care. it is further asserted that the child had needle tracks in his arms, that he had been given growth hormones since he was very small. and it is also being speculated the boy was killed with a choke-hold. also, the 'roid rage' may not apply, that this was not rage, but was coldly premeditated.

I must have missed that is there was. What he did sounds like cold blooded, pre meditated murder to me. To tie your wife up then throttle her to death, then smother your own seven year old son is the actions of someone beyond desperate. He left a bible beside each of their bodies as well. c

Toxicology reports are pending and may shed light on his bizarre behavior.

I suppose its a good job he didn't place a satanic bible beside the bodies of his wife and son otherwise the headline would have been :- DEVIL WORSHIPPING WRESTLER SACRIFICES HIS WIFE AND SON IN SATANIC RITUAL SUICIDE PACT !
