Hi, Everyone.

I just learned from CNN that Gary Gygax has died. 

Like a lot of people, I spent a significant portion of my teenage years playing Dungeons and Dragons.  I haven't played for a while, but I certainly have fond memories. 

Here's hoping that he now sits at the right hand of Hieroneous.

Damn that is a shame and a bit of a shock.

Dungeons and Dragons is probably the most influential game of all time.  Even RPG video games which are so popular these days still use the same number crunching system of combat, damage, armour class. magic  etc that Gygax invented back in the 1970's. As well as characters "levelling up".

May he sunbath in the warm rays of Pelor for all eternity............
