Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up worn out screaming what a ride..

Its certainly an obscene amount of money, even by footballers standards. I hope he is successful in promoting American soccer, at club level, on to the world stage. He already has a football acadamy in the US

He's got an uphill task ahead. Football (soccer), it seems, will never be able to compete with American Football, Basketball or Baseball. Thats a shame because football is the number one sport throughout the world, in just about EVERY country except North America. In the rest of the world, nothing else comes close.

If you are able to see through the hype that surrounds him and his wife, you will see a footballer that will offer a great deal to the Major League and to his team mates. It will also generate a great deal of interest elsewhere in the world and maybe tempt other "galacticos" to the USA. Zidane and Ronaldo are two names that have been mentioned, so who knows what the future holds

What a waste...

People whom don't regularly watch soccer aren't going to follow it now that Beckhams in the league...

The only people who know who David Beckham is, are the die hard soccer fans...Everyone else will just be waiting for the NFL to start again.
