Hmmmm.....I think if I ever decide to commit a crime I'll do it in Portugal, their police force seem to be all Inspector Closeau wannabe's.

Why didn't they check the apartment for blood stains 3 MONTHS ago when the incident actually occured ?, did it not cross anybody's mind until now ?

I am sticking with my suspicions about what happened here for now, I think it's only a matter of time till I'm proven right unfortunately.

even if they found some blood, SO WHAT?? kids get cuts or wounds, and they were staying in that apt.

I agree Ninja I just don't understand any of the Police tactics at this point. Seems they are a day late and a dollar short..

And the fathers world wide sympathy tour goes on.

soooo... DNA tests were done (negative) on a drinking straw in the last maddie sighting, which i knew was bull. the police on one hand say they thought the sighting was credible, but at the same time are digging up murat's yard. now there's 'blood on the walls' months after her abduction, so i suppose the apartment was never cleaned in all this time. i said, many pages back, that these parents had a sense of entitlement, and Ninja is correct, they have made a career out of this. does this rise to the level of they did it? i'm not sure. it sure is amazing that the boogeyman showed up in some 15-minute interval while the parents were at dinner.

True - I don;t think they will find here alive now - too much time has passed. Even if she had been alive the alleged abductor would have killed her by now. This has been too wide spread for them to risk anything.

However, I still have reservations about the parents. Something just doesn't seem right about all this. How could parents leave their kids alone in an apartment in a foreign country? Unbelievable!

And if Murat is the only suspect why have they not done something about it? If he truly is a suspect they must have evidence to make him a suspect! Why aren't they using this evidence - if it exists..............................

Seem your spot on again LC. They are being looked at in depth now and should have been long ago.

Do you think it was an accident, lets say they came back to check on the kids and Madeline had somehow fallen, hit her head and died. They they buried her somewhere maybe on Murat's property??

I haven't liked their demeanor from the beginning.
