Humm!! still don't believe them, but that is just me.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up worn out screaming what a ride..

BBC SAYS MOTHER TO BE NAMED SUSPECT

FATHER TO BE INTERVIEWED FRIDAY.

i believe this is happening now partly because the parents are about to move back to England.

Kate McCann, mother of missing four-year-old Madeleine, will be declared a suspect by the Portuguese police, the BBC has learned.
The McCanns' family spokeswoman revealed that Mrs McCann will today be declared an "arguida" or formal suspect.
Mrs McCann and her lawyer were informed of this by detectives during 11 hours of questioning yesterday.
The McCanns have consistently denied any part in Madeleine's disappearance.
The spokeswoman said arguida status would then allow the police to put certain questions to Madeleine's mother giving her the legal right to remain silent.
She will become the second formal suspect in the case. The first was Robert Murat, a British man living locally.
Mrs McCann's husband Gerry is expected to be questioned on Friday afternoon about Madeleine's disappearance from an apartment in Praia da Luz on 3 May.
Mrs McCann had been interviewed before by police, but this was the first time her lawyer had been present.
She was questioned as a witness until after midnight on Thursday. Police have previously said the McCanns are not suspects.
Separately, Portuguese detectives confirmed they had the partial results of forensic tests by a UK laboratory.

CNN is reporting that the child's blood was found in a car that the parents rented 25 days after  they reported the child missing.

this is just breaking, i am waiting for more...from SKY news in UK....mrs. mccann has been offered a plea deal to confess the child died by 'accident' and serve two years in prison. it is being reported that she is denying that. the family is 'outraged'.

IF the parents are responsible, and this is more for a later discussion, i can't help thinking about A.what did they do with the body?? and B. all the public pleas, visit to the pope, all the world media and monies donated......it boggles the mind. it would be a horrible farce to play out and require extreme duplicity and cruelty.

The words "Susan Smith" come to mind...

The only difference is that this one doesn't seem to have a racial angle.

If the child's blood was found in the car they "rented" after she was reported missing, I don't see any other possible conclusion.

It's almost good that she's refusing to plead guilty.  Let's have the full brunt of the law smash down on her.

i'm not certain the parents did it, i need some more proof. like a body. but if the DNA in the rental car is true, they used that car to go to see the pope. it would mean taking that child's body with them and disposing of it...so where was the body prior to that?

The plot thickens. I wonder if they came back from there dinner that night to check on the kids and little Madeline had an accident and somehow died. Still doesn't make sense they would have had to get rid of the body quickly, they may have done that before ever calling the police.. This whole case has just not set right with me at all.

If there was, indeed, Madeleine's blood found in the rental car, that severely constrains the plausible scenarios.  For one thing, it means that one of them (or both of them) disposed of the body well after they called the police to report her missing.  I have to confess to being dumbstruck by that, though.  Why hold on to the body after you call police, especially for that length of time? ::scratch::

Excellent point Brian something isn't right. I don't know, I just feel they know something more than they have let us all believe. Hopefully they will crack under the pressure and this poor little girl can be put to rest properly.
