I just watched a show on tru TV about the case of her disappearance and murder.  Though I had always had a basic knowledge of the events, I never really knew the whole story.  Seems there was an extortion plot, for $500,000 in gold coins.  The bad guy got the coins, and killed her, her son and granddaughter anyway.   Turns out, he put the coins on a storage facility, and they were stolen from there..by people unrelated to the case.  A bit of poetic justice, I think.

I am not sure I ever agreed with her extreme athiest views, but I was always curious about her disapearance.  The show answered some questions.

The show is a series called Murder by the Book.  It is hosted by author Kathy Reichs.  She covers crime stories which have been the subject of books.  I think the show has been on awhile, but this is the first time I had seen an episode.  I think I would watch again, it was well put together and held my interest.
