I have never seen this! the sky above the clouds are looking like flashes of light very bright, no thunder but I can see little sparks every once in a while, at first I thought it was lightning bugs but they are a little bigger. The air smells so much like ozone and my fillings are aching like crazy, never saw such a thing in my life. The lights (sparkles) are about every 2-3 min. weird! The lightning is flashing so fast it gives a strobe effect bright as day. Never saw such a powerfull heat lightning storm.

          No wind at all just the electricity in the air makes sparks from my cats fur when I rub it backwards and my hip is starting to ache now. Still no thunder.

That IS weird.  I've been told that if you feel the static in your hair,  you need to drop and curl yourself into a ball close to the ground.  I've been in storms where I could smell the ozone too and I don't like it.................It's scary!

It was dry as the storm was to my northeast but now it is humid from the northwest with rain great light show!

very windy now.....................and I am not dropping and rolling unless I set myself aflame.::chuckle::.............but I swear I saw some form of ball lightning or maybe sheet lightning.

Oh come on.........DROP!  I didn't say roll...........:lmao:    That's a neat overview of the area.  Our storms actually look worse than that, but we have a lot of Bolt lightning.  I've not been around what you described!  Maybe the closest would be the Sheet lightning we get on occasion.  If there's nothing coming out of the sky that can strike you, I'd MUCH prefer your storms!

We get several lightning storms like that practically every year. I love to watch 'em ::thumbs::

We had one during winter in 1986 or '87 where the clouds were so low that it was like lightning filled fog. And we were out walking in the stuff!!!

(I know ... not the sharpest knife in the drawer ... )::rotfl::

(edit for spelling ::blush::)
