A lot of instability at Yahoo lately, since MSFT bid for it.

3 more Yahoo execs reportedly jumping ship

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Yahoo Inc.'s management ranks are rapidly thinning as the Internet pioneer fends off a shareholder mutiny threatening to culminate in the firing of Chief Executive Jerry Yang.

YAHELL SUCKS ASS!!!!!!

I hate this new thing they have done with their email, I dumped Messenger because it keeps signing out and when I get the little yellow envelope notice that I have a new email it takes an act of God to get it to go away, the damn sig in my email shows up in a different spot.....I could go on and on.

I hate this stupid site and I'm close to switching.  Just a pain in the ass because then I have to notify everyone in my address book of a new email addy.  I hope Yahell goes under in a big way.  Stupid SOB's.

I'm right there with ya, UTR!  I have absolutely no use for Yahoo.  I hate their e-mail system with a passion (especially the new one), and think Messenger is completely useless.

If you want to be able to talk to your Yahoo Messenger friends without using Yahoo, I would suggest Pidgin.  With Pidgin, you can talk to people on Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, AOL, and even Google Talk.  And you get none of the annoying ads or pop-up messages about new e-mails.  It even has IRC, which is a chat system from way back when, that only geeks use today.

I have yahoo e-mail.

Its the only E-mail I could find that didn't require nearly every single detail of my life to register.

You guys are scareing me!  I signed up for yahoo for my business e-mail about a month ago.  I can still change it because I have very few agencies who have it right now.  I love MSN e-mail!  I can't get the one I have now, for my personal e-mail to add another e-mail address for my business though.  Brian, does this Pidgin work with sending e-mail out to all e-mail address's??  I'm needing an e-mail address that when I hit send, I don't get any of this sh*t back telling me "Message was undeliverable!"

Hi, Fox.

Pidgin is an instant messaging client (like AOL's Instant Messenger, or Yahoo Messenger).  The difference with Pidgin is that it's actually a metamessenger, meaning you can connect with people on various networks (Yahoo Messenger, AOL IM, ICQ, etc.).  What I like about it is I don't have to run multiple instant messaging programs to talk to people on different networks.

"Message was undeliverable" messages usually result from either putting in the wrong e-mail address, or the person's e-mail address changing (e.g., they changed ISPs).  Basically, what that message says is, "Hey!  There's nobody at that address!"

The computer gal just left and we really got a lot done!  I was able to open a new account under MSN for a second e-mail address, and am out of the yahoo crap!!  I had to call Quest DSL in order to add the new MSN account though.  Thats why I was having trouble with that.  The other thing is, they told me a lot of people are having a lot of trouble with Outlook!  So I stayed away from that too..........  Very seldom do I ever use the Messenger chat, an have never had any problems with that so far.
