This morning, I watched a TED talk with Jonathan Harris.  Jonathan creates interactive web-based programs to collect data across the Internet, gleaning information from blogs and news sources.

One of his most exciting projects is called "We Feel Fine."  It gleans the thoughts of countless blog writers as they respond to the words "I feel...," then plots them dynamically in the We Feel Fine interface:

It is amazing!  Both art and anthropological study, We Feel Fine rocks!

Yet another project of his is called "Universe."  This takes AP wire news stories and plots the number of occurrences of various subjects to determine who and what is dominating the news and the human world:

Truly a fascinating study!
