I think the idea of a carbon footprint is interesting, but I'm skeptical about the idea that some people/groups are pushing that the size of your footprint is inversely proportional to your virtue (i.e., that the larger a footprint you have, the worse of a person you are, 'cause you're "hurting the Earth").

The goal of pushing the carbon footprint as a measurement of how "green" you are seems to be to push the human race to the point where we're all eating grass, living in caves, and squatting over holes in the ground to relieve ourselves.

The fact of the matter is, every species on the planet leaves its mark on the environment.  Because of our technology, we leave a larger mark than most species.  But the idea that we should feel bad about that is suspect, in my eyes.

My score turned out to be 173.

I took the test can came BAD............ what caused it was that I have so much air travel with my work.
But how am I going to do my job that requires it and NOT travel so much?

I don't have an answer to that one.

My score was 225, I clearly :heartbeat: planet earth.

Quite frankly unless mega corporations and businesses do something about their carbon footprint, the carbon footprint of the average person in the street is meaningless.
