Any of you actually get a pilot's license with advanced ratings, and fly combat? How about unarmed medical rescue under fire? Like 900 missions or more?
My love of aircraft came with old movies as a kid--"God Is My Copilot", "Flying Tigers" "Twelve O'Clock High", "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" and "Dawn Patrol". Series on TV like "Whirlybirds" and "Sky King". Numerous models and air rides.
The Huey flew like a Cadillac and I can't see why they were replaced with an aircraft that could only do a little more at 20 times the expense. Same with the Cobra vs. the Apache. I love them all--just about. Kind of like guitars in that way, too. Works of art and artistry to fly (at least for some).

Moguitar, if you had to pick a favorite, which would be the top one for flying?

It's a Hungarian helicopter........

Besides, from an Army veteran, this is a Russian helicoptor, not Hungarian.

Yes the article says that,  It also says it belonged to the Hungarian Air Force.

It is a Russian Mi-24 Hind

"The craft was not used in military operations and carried no armaments; it was strictly a display vehicle exhibited at 'air shows" and the like.
The aircraft is not American and has not been used by  U.S. Forces in Afghanistan or Iraq. The aircraft was strictly an exhibit at air shows.

It is a Russian Mi-24 Hind

The hind was the first helicopter to enter service with the Russian Air Force as an assault transport and gunship.

It is a pretty awesome looking piece of art, however it isn't American.

Just correcting YOUR erroneous claim that it is Hungarian, as should have been obvious from my reply.

The Aircraft is a "Hungarian Air Force" helicopter made by the "Russians." The link to Snopes explains all that.  But that wasn't what the thread was about was it?Who's erroneous on this?

Look.  I will make one last effort to explain this to you.  I'll type slowly, you read slowly.  'Kay?  The above statement, made by you, (you can tell that since the quote marker says your screen name) reads "It's a Hungarian helicoptor".  It may be in possession by the Hungarian forces, but it is NOT a Hungarian helicoptor.  If the Hungarians got hold of an F-16 would you say that it is now also a Hungarian jet?

I'm done trying to explain a very simple thing to you.  If you don't get it by now, then there is no hope for you.  It's quite simple, actually and detailing it for you is boring me.
