The best part is mankind didn't need to wait for Columbus! We just needed to read our bibles to know the earth was round. :lmao:

Actually, we knew the earth was round way before Columbus.  Aristotle claimed it was common knowledge back in 320BC, or thereabouts.

It is kind of funny to talk about evolution and "invention" in the same sentence, though.  No soup for him! :D

The pyramid builders apparently knew the Earth was round back in 2600BC, 2900BC or whenever you think they were made.  It is said that the ascending passage if extended  downward far enough would exactly pass through the north pole.

This statement kills me. :lmao: Invented? :lmao:

:aww:  Church leaders laughed the same exact way when first hearing science say that the Earth wasn't flat.

God told us it was a circle already Frank... Long before science...::chuckle:: :rotfl:

Job 22:14 Thick clouds cover Him, so that He cannot see, And He walks above the circle of heaven.'
Prov 8:27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
Isa 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Circle is also translated as sphere in Hebrew.

There are dozens of quotes indicating flatness and accompanying ledges and so forth, but you've selected the ones that have "circle" in them.  I've studied this before.  Your quotes are typical of the religious person who desperately wants the Bible to not seem as obviously man-inspired and ignorant as it really is.  Never fear, I am here!  Circle means FLAT circular surface, not SPHERE.  From where one stands, the horizon appears as though the world is 360 - circular - that you are standing on a flat circle.  Look a the horizon, turn all the way around, and without science, you would think your world is circular.  Remember, they were ignorant - they didn't even know other continents existed.  That is why they thought all the species could fit on an Ark and could crawl or walk their way there.

The people of the bible, lacking real science and facts, believed the Earth was flat and circular.  Not flat and rectangular, flat and circular.  With ledges you could fall off of!  This is in-line with the other archaic ignorance, like enslaving, purchasing, and killing children.

So, you are going to find quotes in the Bible that point to their obvious belief that the Earth was flat and the shape of the surface they stood on is circular.

The Bible seriously needs an update.  I guess that's where the Baha'is come in.

Not in the scriptures I quotes to you. In the Hebrew language it means, "sphere".

Old Testament is Hebrew Frank. :D

It is still obvious to me that a great many people are closer to the worm in intelligence, than to the great minds of our time and history. Say a person of 70 IQ versus a person of 141 IQ versus the worm with 0 IQ. In fact the variation in intelligence alone within the human species is great enough to actually be two species if only they couldn't interbreed!!!!
