I am not much of a coffee drinker.  Can take it or leave it.  But Rick likes his coffee, and has the gadgets to prove it.  He  buys whole beans and grinds them up in a grinder similar to this:



 

Then he will boil up some water, and put the grounds and coffee into a coffee press.

 

Rick likes the flavored coffees, and will buy his beans from some of the coffee outlets here.  He is one of the few, though, who has not fallen into the Starbucks trap.  He says he likes Tim Hortons better.   But with so many of the coffee brands out there selling flavored coffees, he is never at a loss for a new kind to try.

I had a press some years ago, and I did like it, but I have lost the patience to use one.  As it is now, I stumble to the coffee pot and hit the "on" button still half asleep!  If I had to deal with a press, I'd probably end up pouring the boiling water down my front.  Owie.  And as long as it is strong enough to make the spoon screech, I'm happy!  ::coffee:: :giantgrin:

When I can afford it I buy Starbucks Espresso Roast whole bean and grind it myself.

First place I head from the bedroom is the coffee maker!  Sometimes fresh ground, sometimes bought ground.  I just love a good fresh cup of coffee first thing!  After about two cups, I may even want some breakfast.  I enjoy everything about my coffee.  The aroma, the drinking, the anticipation, and the way it makes me feel.  That first cup is like sitting down with an old friend.............
