General Overview of 24's Forum System
The forum system at 24 rests upon its base of expandable Member-Owned forums and the benefits of the ownership mentality. We use a "free-market" system to take on and handle our forums. This Forum Center presents the basic tools and methods of that system.
Individually-Owned Forums:
The foundation of 24 is our eclectic, growing city of Individually-Owned forums. Compared to just throwing up some forums and having moderators, our forums inherently deliver a higher level of innovation, expertise, passion, and benefits since there are owners caring very much and focused on the improvement, quality, and usefullness of their forum. Additonally, as part of the "free-market" system, forum owners earn and keep the support of others to help stack their odds for improvement and exposure. The free-market approach also allows for forums similar to those already in existence to come on board, and in effect, compete with them. Special sub-forums in 24's Web Depot forum were created to deal with forum owner issues such as monetizing, promoting, and improving their forums.
Member Involvement:
The ownership mentality also crosses over into the hands of Members. Currently, this is mostly evident by their forum-voting and forum-sponsorship decisions, which determine the placement of the forums on the homepage, how resources are allocated to them, and what kind of exposure and benefits they receive through a point-based system. Higher sponsorship levels impart additional Member benefits and individual forum impact. Other ways to involve Members in unique and unprecedented ways are always being worked on.
Advertisers:
Advertisers can get targetted exposure at 24HourForums.com by sponsoring individual forums. They also automatically get corresponding exposure in our general Support Center which showcases the sponsors that support us. Advertisers are encouraged to work out special arrangements with forum owners for more unique opportunities, such as Guest Speaking.
 Forum Sponsorship at 24
Members can help support 24, and specific forums, by targetting specific forums with their support dollars through the purchase and application of Sponsorship Bricks. Forum Owners can also do this to help support and improve their own forums, and Advertisers can utilize this method for increased exposure.
Sponsorship Bricks are a great way to combine an offer of help with a say in things, and is one of the ways the ownership mentality is woven into the site. Instead of typical donations or ads all over the homepage, Members, Forum Owners, and Advertisers can create a more specific and identifiable effect on one or more forums and the site's evolution in general. You can also use advertising rights for a friend or family member's business, notice for a cause or mission, or charity.
Purchasing Sponsorship Bricks
Sponsorship Bricks cost a $1 per month PayPal Subscription each. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can open one easily or just use your credit card where it says "Don't have a PayPal Account? Use your credit card or bank account..." Multiple-Brick Packages are available for those who wish to entertain them, such as those who wish to support a forum more, support several forums, one who wish to advertise at 24. You can apply them wherever you like by indicating how you want to allocate them in the PayPal message and with a duplicate notice sent to the Administrator in a Private Message. Brick allocations are generally fixed but once a quarter an opportunity will exist to reallocate should you really feel the need to.

| Higher HomePage Placement |
A forum gets points based upon the number of Sponsorship Bricks it has. It also gets points from the result of Forum Voting (explained in the Voting section below). Add those points together and you get a Forum's Total Support score. A Forum's Total Support Score determines how high up on the homepage a forum it is placed, and what kind of resources are allocated to it. The higher the forum, the more benefits and attention it gets off the site. At the start of each month, the Total Support Scores are calculated and put into effect. |

5 BRICKS: When new forums are introduced, they get placed into the Unsupported Category at the bottom of the forums and receive relatively little support and attention from the house until they have 5 Bricks. Then, after they have at least 5 Bricks, it gets announced, and they are moved to the higher-placed Supported Category and qualify for more general support as well. Supported forums get services such as graphic links under their forum name and within their forum headers, a banner spot in the Forum Owner Outpost (details on the Outpost can be found HERE in the Forum Center's Ownership section), moderation assistance, and more. |

7 BRICKS: When Supported Forums obtain 7 Bricks, they qualify for benefits such as up to three Sub-forums, and a new additional page. Also, Forum Owners automatically get Text Signature ability.
10 BRICKS: When Supported Forums obtain 10 Bricks, they qualify for benefits such as extra advertising (up to two banners for the Forum Owner Outpost area under the logo), up to two new pages, up to 6 Sub-forums, and limited use AutoPost© Service. Also, Forum Owners automatically get Full Signature ability.
20 BRICKS: When Supported Forums obtain 20 Bricks, they can have up to 9 Sub-forums, up to two animated banners for the Forum Owner Outpost, up to 5 new pages, Full Signature ability for the Owner, and full use of the AutoPost© Service. |
| Top 10 Supported Category |
The Top 10 highest scoring forums are kept in a seperate category up top. The benefits to being in the Top 10 includes extra exposure as the Top 10 are noticed more being near the top of the site, and as special marketing just for the Top 10 is implemented. |

"FST" stands for the Forum Sponsorship Topic every forum has in the Headquarters forum. This is where the ads/notices are.
Click the green brick icon next to a forum description on the Homepage or inside their forum to conveniently access its FST.
Bricks can be applied to different FSTs or the same one to improve placement within its (Silver, Gold, Platinum) level area.

Ads/Notices can be for someone other than yourself, for a cause or mission, or for things such as a charity notice.
AutoPost© allows you to prepare posts ahead of time and scheduling them to post for you automatically without your presence.

General Site Support
If you do not wish to sponsor a specific forum, but would like to support 24, you can either buy Bricks and not apply them, or just have notice of your sponsorship indicated on the Support Center page.
Forum Sponsorship Point Calculation
Your relative Sponsorship level is your score. Whatever percentage a Forum's Bricks are out of the total amount of site-wide applied Sponsorship Bricks are is that Forum's score. For example, if a Forum has 12% of all used Sponsorship Bricks assigned to it, then its score is 12.
This Forum Sponsorship score is added to Forum's Voting score for a Total Support Score. A Forum's Total Support Score determines where on the homepage the Forum is placed and what resources are allocated to it. The higher a Forum's score, the higher on the homepage they are kept and the more resources able to be allocated to it.
Forum Voting at 24
Members can show support for specific forums by casting their multiple-choice vote in the Forum Voting Poll. A Forum's points from the Forum Voting results are added to its Forum Sponsorship points for a Forum's Total Support score. A Forum's Total Support Score determines how high up on the homepage a forum is placed and what kind of resources are allocated to it. At the start of each month, the Total Support Scores are calculated and put into effect.
Forum Voting details:
In the poll, you can select as many and whatever forums you like. Your vote is to express support for the forums you like, appreciate, and want to help the most. You can change your vote at any time. Whatever percentage of votes a Forum has is that Forum's score. For example, if a Forum has 12% of all votes cast in the Forum Voting Poll, then its score is 12. A prime example of this is the unpredictable, growing, eclectic mix of specialized Member-Owned forums that make the site what it is. Independent ownership of forums allows Members to enjoy a higher level of passion and expertise on a site more ripe with innovation. Helping and servicing people on a higher level in a stimulative environment is a key part of the 24 vision. To accomplish that, will be raising the bar as an information, education, and forum-based entertainment resource, doing this primary through the dividends of high-quality member-owned forums.
