Home Depot loses $25 million in lawsuit for arrogance..

They stole the guy's invention for keeping THEIR employees safe while using the radial saw in the store.

The CEO apparently said "F** Powell, let him sue us"

So he did == and won.

Sadly, one poster on that page has it right -- Home Depot will simply raise prices and screw their customers.
Unfortunately, they are smart enough not to raise prices so high that they'll really drive people to Lowes.

I don't shop there-- I find them to be too high priced, and not as friendly to people who want to do something themselves and not hire a contractor.

Wish the judge had ordered that the $25 million be taken out of the stock options of the top 15% of management's stock options, with
a FREEZE on their being able to simply raise prices to make up the dividend losses.

Doing it that way, they would have had to raise prices SO MUCH to personally make back $25 million in dividends, that Home Depot couldn't have done it.
The punishment would've STUCK with the people that made the immoral decision, and not merely have been passed on to customers pockets.

What jerks ... success breeds arrogance like this too often, unfortunately.
